Acadiana s real estate market remains crazy good , but supply lags behind demand View Comments Acadiana is enjoying a crazy good residential real estate market halfway through the year, though the number of active listings relative to demand are at their lowest levels since the 1990s, according to a presentation from real estate expert Bill Bacque. Bacque, who runs Market Scope Consulting, produces monthly reports analyzing the local market. Bacque s reports includes year-over-year and year-to-date numbers for Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, Acadia, Iberia, Vermilion and Evangeline parishes. Acadiana  and most of its individual parishes  has enjoyed an unprecedented level of success when it comes to its residential real estate market over the first six months of 2021. Home sales in the region are up 35% from the first half of 2020, and the dollar volume of sales is up 55%.
