Cresa has named
Kristin MacCarthy as Chief Financial Officer. MacCarthy will lead Cresa’s Finance team and develop a capital plan to support the company’s recruitment and acquisition objectives. She will also be part of the firm’s Executive Committee, working alongside CEO Jim Underhill in the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan. MacCarthy has nearly 30 years of progressive financial management experience within successful business-to-business, consumer and distribution corporations. She joins Cresa from JLL, where she was the CFO, Market Solutions, responsible for driving strategic growth and efficiencies and managing profitability. Prior to JLL, MacCarthy held financial management positions at several major companies, including US Cellular and Grainger.

Franco, 38, was deer hunting near Havens Road in Wantage when he was struck with a shotgun bullet that was accidentally discharged by a juvenile, a spokesman with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection said. Franco died at the scene.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home at 31 Bank St. in Sussex Borough, followed by a funeral service. Immediately following, Franco will be laid to rest with fireman s services at Fairview Cemetery at 5 Route 284, Wantage.
Fire, police and emergency service members attending are asked to dress in full uniform or proper attire.

As the number of new coronavirus cases and hospitalizations in New Jersey continues to steadily climb with a second-wave peak potentially still several weeks or months away, Gov. Phil Murphy has said he’s keeping all options open for new restrictions to slow the outbreak.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf on Thursday ordered the temporary closure of all indoor dining, casinos, theaters, museums and gyms, and a halt to interscholastic sports starting Saturday and lasting through the holidays until Jan. 4. The order came as the state hit record levels of hospitalizations.
