University of South Carolina president RESIGNS over plagiarized speech

The University of South Carolina president has resigned after he plagiarized a 2014 graduation speech by a Navy SEAL who was in charge of the mission to take out terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. President Bob Caslen sparked controversy after he copied the remarks made by retired Admiral William McRaven during a commencement speech at graduation ceremonies last week. During the speech on May 7, Mr Caslen made matters worse by referring to his school as the University of California , a blunder which caused the crowd to audibly gasp.   The damning mistakes made during the speech at the university s Williams-Brice Stadium sparked anger among the audience, with many calling for his resignation.
