SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - According to the Caddo Parish Sheriffâs Office, the teen fatally shot in west Shreveport Friday, Jan. 8, has been identified.
Tyikorion Johns of Shreveport, 16, was injured when shots were fired at the vehicle he was a passenger in.
The incident took place at Jefferson-Paige Road and Interstate 220 before 3 a.m.
Johns, whose scientific identification is pending, was transported to Willis-Knighton Medical Center on Greenwood Road, where he succumbed to his wounds at 3:14 a.m.
The shooting remains under investigation.

Louisiana’s healthcare workers became the first group of people in the state to receive Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine Monday morning as the state begins what will likely be a months-long vaccination process.
“It is a great day. It s a day that we have been preparing for planning for and praying for, for about nine months now,” Governor John Bel Edwards said at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans Monday morning.
“And of course this is the beginning of the end. We are not at the end yet. But it is such a blessing to have the vaccine in the state of Louisiana.”
