Harlesden thief who stole 11 cars jailed for six months

Car thief David Berry - Credit: Met Police A prolific car thief from Harlesden who went on an eight-month offending spree has been jailed. David Berry, 39, of Ashdon Road, stole 11 cars parked on streets across Brent and Harrow between April and November last year. He used his recovery vehicle to steal the cars then took them to a scrapyard in Buckinghamshire, and sold them using a scrap metal licence, Scotland Yard said. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment at Wood Green Crown Court on April 20. Police Serg Rob Clarke, from Wembley Emergency Response Team D, said: “The impact of Berry’s offending should not be understated. Many of the vehicles he stole and sold for scrap were of sentimental value to their owners.

Man charged with murder after Michael Fadayomi stabbing

Emergency services respond to the fatal stabbing of a man in High Road, Willesden - Credit: David Nathan A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Michael Fadayomi - known as Tunde - in Willesden. Police were called to High Road, Willesden, at 5.11pm on Thursday April 29 following reports that a man had been stabbed. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service where they found Michael Fadayomi, 40, with serious injuries. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. A post-mortem examination has since found the cause of his death was incised wounds to the neck.
