The New York State Sheriff’s institute is beginning their annual Honorary Membership Drive and both the Delaware county and Broome County Sheriff’s Offices are in need of help. The biggest part of the Membership drive is the Sheriff’s Summer Camp program for economically challenged children. Get our free mobile app According to a news release, the program is in its 45 th year, and been sending children from all over New York State to their summer camp, located on Keuka Lake. Each year 840 kids will have a chance to attend the camp at no cost to their families, the Sheriff’s institute picks up the entire cost.
