BEIJING, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) Beijing will light the Olympic flame for a second time with a blazing ribbon after organizers unveiled an ethereal yet dynamic torch design to mark the one-year countdown to the 2022 Olympic Winter Games here on Thursday evening.

Lisa McLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries, announced that $82,076 will be re-invested into Huntsville thanks to legacy funding that was created by the Ontario 55+ Winter Games.
The funds will be split and eight different organizations will receive parts of the funding.
The following organizations will be receiving funding:
Town of Huntsville’s Community Services Senior Programs: $41,576
Sewing Team (c/o Mary Spring & Terri Howell): $2,500
Huntsville Pickleball Group (c/o Lorna Popofski): $2,000
Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club: $3,500
Huntsville Curling Club: $10,000
Muskoka Seniors: $10,000
Club 55 Huntsville Seniors: $2,500

Former Botswana Badminton national team player, Tjiyapo Mokobi-Mokhosoa made history last week becoming the first-ever Motswana to receive the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Meritorious Service Award.
The award recognizes exemplary service to badminton at the national level.
For the 51-year-old Serowe-born Pilikwe native, it is the latest achievement in a life full of firsts.
20 years ago, Mokhosoa became the first female President of the Botswana Badminton Association (BBA), rising to the top post at a time when few women held meaningful roles in executive committees.
In 2011 she was elected BNOC Publicity Secretary, becoming the first woman on the BNOC Board.
