New Delhi: A day after the farmers tractor rally went violent in Delhi on the 72nd Republic Day, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday took to Twitter and said that she tried her best to avoid this but failed.
In response to a tweet by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha national general secretary Sourabh Choudhary, who had posted pictures of violence in Delhi, Ranaut said her head “hangs in shame”.
Violence during the tractor rallies came as a setback for farm unions agitating for repeal of central farm laws. However, they expressed their determination to continue with their protests while seeking to dissociate themselves from Tuesdays violence.
