The protesting farmers today announced tractor rally towards Delhi on Republic Day as demonstrations around the national capital's borders escalate. "We have given a call for a tractor parade towards Delhi on January 26. Tractor parade with national flag on January 26 will be called ''Kisaan Parade'', said farmer leader Darshan Pal.
Protesting farmer unions wrote to the Centre saying the discussion will only be on the modalities of repealing the three legislations, giving a legal guarantee on the MSP, and on two other issues they proposed earlier this week for a resumption of the dialogue.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary tabled The Assam Official Language (Amendment) Bill, 2020 in the Assam Assembly on behalf of CM Sarbananda Sonowal, who also holds the Home and Political Department.
