Actor Taapsee Pannu, filmmaker Onir, actor Arjun Mathur and others criticised the seemingly orchestrated show of solidarity by the big stars towards the government.

New Delhi: The banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) has likened the three newly-enacted farm laws with the British-era Rowlatt Act and asked its frontal organisations to continue fighting alongside the protesting farmers, a report said on Wednesday.
The outlawed CPI (Maoist) has issued several statements in support of the protests again the three agri laws, thus appearing to confirm the central probe agencies’ suspicion of Maoists’ involvement in the ongoing farmers’ protest.

New Delhi: DMK MP Tiruchi Siva on Wednesday sought assurance from the government and the prime minister on the repeal of the three contentious farm laws against which several farmer unions have been protesting on various borders of Delhi. He also expressed concern over the manner in which the farm bills were passed last year, but Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said that everything was done according to rule.
