PM Modi to Hold Kisan Samvad in UP on Dec 25 Amid Farmer Protests in Delhi FOLLOW US ON: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with farmers on the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25, the BJP said, adding that the party will hold kisan samvad at over 2,500 places in Uttar Pradesh. In a statement issued here on Saturday, the party said it has intensified its preparations for it. UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh and party leader Radha Mohan Singh held a virtual meeting in this regard with party office-bearers from parts of the state. Radha Mohan Singh said the Narendra Modi-led government is dedicated to welfare of the poor and farmers.

Intensifying their agitation against the Centre s new agri laws, farmers on Sunday announced that they will observe a day-long relay hunger strike on Monday at all sites of protest here and halt toll collection on highways in Haryana from December 25 to 27. Thousands of farmers, mainly from Punjab and Haryana, are protesting against the laws for the last over four weeks at various border points of Delhi and demanding that the legislations be repealed. After food, now turban langar for protesting farmers at Singhu border

New Delhi: While the protests by the farmers against the three new agricultural laws continue for the past three weeks, volunteers from a welfare society from Punjab have set up a ‘Turban Langar’ at the Delhi-Haryana’s Singhu Border. Turban is the sign of pride and honour in Sikhism. The volunteers from Miri Piri Welfare Society while taking forward the ‘sarbat da bhala’ (Welfare of All) principle have set up this service of tying turbans here. Speaking to IANS, one of the volunteers Laal Singh Dhillon said, “We have set up this Dastaar Langar here as many of our brothers have been here for almost a month and many of them had not carried adequate clothing with them. The turban is our pride and crown and, hence, we decided to set up this Langar.”
