Gin Jamboree at Peak Cavern in Castleton
One of Derbyshire s top attractions, Peak Cavern, has the claim to fame of the largest cave entrance in Britain, deep in the gorge below the ruins of Peveril Castle.
It also has the cheekiest alternative name - the Devil s Arse. Legend has it that the devil created the dramatic natural features in the heart of the picturesque Peak District village Castleton, while the flatulent sounding noise of the water flowing from the cave is said to be old Satan passing wind.
