Parenting, it seems, has become more difficult with all of the additional demands on our time. Most of the companies we work for pride themselves are taking up as much of our time as they can. They say they don t want to, but they do. This means that more working parents are trying to find new and creative ways to spend time with their kids, and even grandkids than they ever have before.
The above photo was taken by my friend. Her husband was away for business and their daughter missed him so much she asked if her daddy could lay down with her when it was time to go to bed. Thanks to FaceTime, he did just that.
All this week, we re celebrating National Nurse s Week with Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union by honoring a different Tri-State area nurse who s been nominated for recognition by you.
Of course, like all medical personnel, nurses play an extremely important role in patient care whether it s a simple trip to the doctor s office for a check-up or something more serious that requires a stay at the hospital. When it comes to the latter, nurses are often the medical professionals that spend the most time with patients; delivering and making sure medications are being taken, checking vital signs, and doing what they can to make sure their patients are as comfortable as possible during their hospital stay.
Who doesn t love potatoes in any form? Fried, mashed, french fries, chips, a hotel.yes, there is a potato hotel that you can stay in that you have to see.
I have done several posts about places in the region that you can stay in when you visit the area. So I decided to find a new, unique place to highlight each week in the region that you can visit. This new series will be called Tri-State Travels. This doesn t necessarily mean that all of these places are found here in the Tri-State, however, these are places that Tri-Staters might like to visit when they plan trips in these areas.
Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society!
Meet Barb, the third-longest resident at the Vanderburgh Humane Society. The 4-year-old brown tabby is the perfect mix of sugar and spice, according to Amanda at the VHS. Plus, she loves both people and cats until she s done for the day (can t we all say that on certain days?). She also likes to use her paws for play, which leads to her being a little rough at times, but if you don t mind a little sass in your felines, Barb might just be the perfect companion for you.
Amanda says Barb has lived with several cats in multiple places, she doesn t stir the pot very often, and isn t afraid to stick up for herself when she feels like she s being picked on.
