Wisconsin Health Insurance Pool For Schools Could Save Money, Legislators Say Wisconsin State Journal (Madison, WI) May 3 Wisconsin school districts would get health insurance through a state-run program like that for state workers, potentially saving $500 million a year, under a plan in Democratic Gov. Tony Evers budget and in a similar proposal by an administrator for former Republican Gov. Scott Walker. The proposed 2021-23 budget by Evers, former state superintendent of schools, calls for spending $500,000 to study requiring the state s 421 school districts to join a group health plan through the Department of Employee Trust Funds, or ETF. The budget calls for an implementation plan by the end of next year, with the program starting in 2024.

Morrin new Florence school administrator | News, Sports, Jobs

KARL MORRIN FLORENCE, Wis. Florence County School District has selected Karl Morrin as its new administrator, effective July 1. Morrin has been a principal and pupil services director for more than 12 years, working for the Suring School District, the Manawa School District and the Menominee Indian School District, where he currently is assistant superintendent and director of pupil services. A native of Washburn, Wis., he received a bachelor’s degree in 1995 from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in physical education, adaptive physical education, health education and coaching. He began his career with the Laona School District from 1995-97. He then worked for the Valders Area School District from 1997-2006, moving to Chilton Public Schools from 2006-2008.
