Daily News staff Local health officials Monday reported 27 new COVID-19 positives and two new virus-related deaths in Dickinson County, along with five new confirmed cases in Iron County. Dickinson County also had 118 people considered recovered from the virus and Iron County 21 since the Dickinson-Iron District Health Department last updated its figures Friday. The DIDHD on Monday listed Dickinson County at 1,878 confirmed positives and 146 probable cases, with 1,211 recovered, 59 deaths and 754 cases still active. Iron County has had 737 confirmed cases and 44 probables, with 571 recovered, 34 deaths and 176 cases still active, according to the DIDHD. Daily News staff Though Dickinson County reported a 57th death related to COVID-19 on Thursday, the number of new confirmed positives appears to be slowing, with only nine cases added. Iron County had no new deaths and only one new confirmed positive, according to the Dickinson-Iron District Health Department. Dickinson County also for the first time in months had more recovered than active cases, the DIDHD posted on its Facebook page. The DIDHD on Thursday had Dickinson County at 1,830 confirmed positives and 131 probable cases, with 993 recovered, 57 deaths and 911 cases still active. Iron County has had 729 confirmed cases and 41 probables, with 540 recovered, 33 deaths and 197 cases still active, according to the DIDHD.
