Seven-day average for new cases continues downward trend two weeks into June

By Logan Rude Jun 15, 2021 | 4:16 PM MADISON, Wis. Wisconsin’s seven-day average for new COVID-19 is once again continuing its downward trend. According to Wisconsin Department of Health Services data shared Tuesday, the state’s seven-day average for new cases has dropped again, down to 104. That’s down from Monday’s average of 112. The state’s seven-day average for new cases hasn’t topped 200 since the start of June. Since the start of the pandemic, health officials have confirmed a total of 611,819 cases of COVID-19 throughout the state. One-hundred of those were confirmed within the past day. To date, 7,212 Wisconsinites have died from COVID-19 complications. The state’s seven-day average for new deaths has also dropped to one, compared to the average of two reported Monday.
