MADISON, Wis. (AP) The COVID-19 vaccination center at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison will be able to increase the number of doses delivered by 2,100 a week thanks to new staffing support from the federal government starting on Wednesday, Gov. Tony Evers announced.
The site will become the third in Wisconsin run by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. It also runs a mass vaccination clinic at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee. Another FEMA-run mass vaccination clinic opens Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Zorn Arena.

As the state begins to roll out a public education campaign to get more people vaccinated against COVID-19, it is approaching a turning point in the pandemic where supply could soon outstrip demand.

All vets, spouses, caregivers can get COVID vaccine at Milwaukee VA

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee VA Medical Center announced on Tuesday, April 6 that it is now giving COVID-19 vaccinations to all veterans – regardless of enrollment status – as well as spouses and caregivers.
The recently enacted SAVE LIVES Act authorized VA to vaccinate anyone who has served in the military – active-duty, reserve or national guard – regardless of their time in service, status or character of discharge. The act also includes spouses, caregivers and recipients of benefits through the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
