The number of COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin continues to fall as the state reported just 206 new infections on Saturday, according to the state health department.
The number of new cases has been dropping steadily since mid-January, data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services show. On Saturday, the seven-day average of new cases hit 409, a low not seen since June.
As cases fall in Wisconsin, vaccinations are ramping up. The state is on track to vaccinate the most people yet this week, with 238,394 doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines administered since Sunday, according to DHS.
On Friday, Wisconsin passed 1 million people who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is about 18% of the state s population of people 16 and older, according to DHS. The vaccine is not yet authorized for children younger than 16.
