The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County rose for the first time since January 8th, when 901 cases were recorded. That number had declined uninterrupted until today, when 41 new cases outnumbered the 31 recoveries, raising the active case total by 10 to 229. That’s a 20% positive rate out of the 200 tests received. Hospitalizations rose by 2 to 5. 12,621 confirmed cases of the coronavirus have so far been confirmed by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, and 125 have lost their lives to it. In terms of the 2-week rates and trajectories, Sheboygan County is experiencing a “high” level of activity – the middle point of such classifications – after peaking at the highest “critically high” category in November. Now, there are 169.4 cases per 100,000 persons, with no significant change in trajectories. And still with that in mind, the overall decline in activity over the last month has been unmistakable.

MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) The Wisconsin Department of Health Services Thursday released a new data dashboard aimed at giving people a comprehensive overview of COVID-19 vaccine administration across the state.
The data visualization consolidates previous tables including vaccine series completion and administration data by sex and age and adds new metrics, including vaccines administered by race and ethnicity, and vaccine administration and coverage.
“Our data shows that life-saving vaccines are being given to people all across the state,” said DHS Interim Secretary Karen Timberlake. “This new dashboard highlights the hard work of our vaccinators and also helps us all identify areas where we must continue to make improvements. We remain committed to an equitable and fair distribution of COVID-19 vaccine.”
The rapid-testing COVID-19 test site at the University of Wisconsin-Superior will be reopening once again. The general public will be able to get a test starting Monday, February 15.
