The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) launched its new COVID-19 vaccine data page this morning. Data shown includes summary metrics for allocation, shipment, and total vaccine administered, as well as a graph displaying the number of vaccinations administered per day. DHS plans to update these visualizations at 2 p.m. every Tuesday.
“We are committed to providing the public with timely COVID-19 vaccine information,” said DHS Secretary-designee
Andrea Palm. “Even though we’re in the early stages of the Wisconsin COVID-19 Vaccine Program, it is important for Wisconsinites to know where we stand and highlight the unprecedented work being done by COVID-19 vaccinators across the state.”

The following information was provided Monday afternoon by local health departments and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Many health departments were closed over the holidays. This update reflects the new numbers since the Dec. 22 update.

WISCONSIN (WQOW) - The latest data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services shows deaths in the state have reached their highest level in a week.
On Tuesday, 72 new COVID-19 deaths were reported. That is the most since Dec. 22 when 120 people died. The average number of deaths reported in the past seven days is 34. A total of 4,783 people have now died from COVID-19 in Wisconsin.
The state also added 2,384 positive cases. That means 474,537 people have tested positive since this spring. Of those, 92.9% have recovered.
Locally, Eau Claire County added 29 new cases of COVID-19. The seven-day average for new cases in the county is about 37. There have been 9,118 cases and 75 deaths since the spring.

Ripon Medical Center, a member of Agnesian HealthCare, has received its first shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine this week and has begun to administer to its healthcare workers.Â
âOur first goal is to get the staff protected so they can continue to care for our patients,â said DeAnn Thurmer, Ripon Medical Center and Waupun Memorial Hospital president.
Moderna was authorized on December 18 for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in people ages 18 and older. Modernaâs vaccine has a 94.1 percent efficacy rate. Like the Pfizer vaccine, Modernaâs is given in two doses
