The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 3,501 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday from 7,299 processed tests.
The processed test total was the lowest reported in 85 days. But unlike yesterday’s prior low, the percentage of tests registering a new case of the disease nearly doubled.
The seven-day case total stands at 23,950, below November 18th’s record report of 45,946. The seven-day testing total stands at 75,792, below November 18th’s record rolling total of 133,019 tests. The testing total is filtered to only include individuals who were tested for the first time or have been tested previously but are receiving their first positive diagnosis.

Tony Evers announced Monday that DHS has activated a federal partnership with pharmacy chains that would distribute vaccines to long-term care facilities around the country.
Under the partnership, pharmacy chains CVS and Walgreens will administer vaccines to nursing home residents and workers. State officials hope this could be nearly complete by the end of January.
Nursing homes are going over details with DHS on when and how this will happen. Consent of long-term residents will be needed before any shots go in arms, possibly as early as Monday, Dec. 28.

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) â Frontline health care workers in Green Bay have begun to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
In a joint statement from Prevea Health and HSHS Wisconsin, the health organizations said they began administering the first round of COVID-19 vaccines allotted to them by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
The health organizations said it is being provided to a number of frontline health care workers based in Green Bay for Prevea Health, HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Maryâs Hospital Medical Center.
