The most updated four-year graduation rates were above the statewide average for several local school districts, including Lewiston-Altura, St. Charles, Cochrane-Fountain City (C-FC) and Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau (G-E-T), according to the Minnesota Department of Education and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. However, in some cases, the districts’ rates rose over previous years, and in others, decreased. The graduation rates came as school districts worked through the obstacles of the pandemic.
Minnesota’s graduation rate was 83.8 percent in 2020. With graduation rates of 90.8 percent and 97.1 percent, respectively, the Lewiston-Altura and St. Charles public school districts’ rates were well above average. For Lewiston-Altura, however, the rate decreased between 2019 and 2020.
