Wisconsin AG Josh Kaul, 18 other Attorneys General file amicus brief arguing ATF has failed to regulate ghost guns

MADISON, Wis. Nineteen Attorneys General across the United States, including Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, are looking to change the federal government’s stance on ghost guns.
Ghost guns are firearms sold in parts, but not complete. Kaul told News 3 Now that they can be easily converted into a full firearm.
Kaul said some people are building ghost guns as a way to get around regulations, making the gun harder to be traced.
“This is a way that individuals can kind of get around laws that require background checks to be conducted,” Kaul said, “so someone who is not permitted to own a firearm in Wisconsin can maybe purchase a part and get around a background check law.

Former Waukesha dairy company ordered to pay wages, benefits
December 17, 2020 GMT
MADISON, Wis. (AP) A Waukesha dairy operation that abruptly closed down nearly eight years ago must pay at least $1.1 million in wages and benefits to former employees, Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announced Wednesday.
Golden Guernsey Dairy, LLC shut down operations in January 2013 without providing the required notice under Wisconsin’s business closure law, Kaul said. The law requires employers of at least 50 or more people to provide at least 60 days advance notice to both its employees and state and local government officials prior to closing. Wages and benefits must be paid during that period.
