Attorney General candidate Ryan Owens visits La Crosse as part of statewide tour
Owens is hoping to unseat current Attorney General Josh Kaul

Ryan Owens was on La Crosse’s north side Thursday as he met with business owners.
The small business roundtable followed Owens announcement that he is hoping to unseat Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul.
Owens says a change policy will help businesses across the state.
“Business owners are out there to help people get jobs. Provide for their families. It’s not just their to make money and things like that,” said Wisconsin Attorney General candidate Ryan Owens

At dozens of Wisconsin law enforcement agencies, portions of use-of-force policies are exactly the same as the use-of-force policy for the Brooklyn Center, Minn. Police Department where 20-year-old
Daunte Wright was killed by a police officer in a traffic stop earlier this month.
The policies are worded exactly the same because they were all written by Lexipol, a company that allows law enforcement agencies and other units of local government to outsource their policy writing in the name of efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The company says it has built policies for thousands of law enforcement agencies and local governments across the country and it is deeply ingrained in Wisconsin law enforcement.
