Michael Gallagher, a House Armed Services Committee member, said in a statement to Defense News. “This year’s spending package increases funding where the Marine Corps sought reductions and makes reductions where they sought increases. If the Commandant doesn’t have the resources to implement his planning guidance a strategy that has bipartisan support it’s impossible to actually implement the National Defense Strategy.”
Today on
Sekulow, we discussed how members of the House of Representatives have sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter demanding Congressman Eric Swalwell’s removal from the House Intelligence Committee. Rep. Swalwell is currently embroiled in a scandal involving a long-term connection with a Chinese Communist spy.
Mainstream media may not consider the Congressman’s connection with a Chinese Communist spy worth covering, but this is a major scandal.
Congressman Swalwell serves on the House Intelligence Committee. He was also one of the major backers of impeachment and up until the last month was calling President Trump a Russian agent. These revelations show the height of hypocrisy since it came to light that Congressman Swalwell had a connection with a Chinese spy. She even placed an intern in his office. This is not a theory. It actually happened.

A group of House Republicans called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to remove Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) from the House Intelligence Committee following a report that he was targeted by a suspected Chinese spy in a years-long political intelligence operation.
The letter, signed by top Republicans in the House, said:
Because of Rep. Swalwell’s position on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, his close interactions with Chinese intelligence services, however unintentional they may be, are an unacceptable national security risk. HPSCI handles some of the most sensitive information our government possesses information critical to our national defense. As such, we urge you to immediately remove Rep. Swalwell from his position on the House Intelligence Committee.
Sen. Cotton Calls on Swalwell to Explain Ties to Suspected Chinese Spy
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) on Dec. 16 called on Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) to hold a press conference to explain his relationship with a suspected Chinese Communist Party (CCP) spy.
A report by Axios on Dec. 7 claimed that the alleged CCP spy, known as Fang Fang or Christine Fang, built up an extensive network of contacts with up-and-coming politicians in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Swalwell. The report said Swalwell cut ties with her after investigators gave him a “defensive briefing,” and that he provided information about her to the FBI.
