OJ Simpson backs Liz Cheney in GOP leadership battle: I m kind of a fan

‘Fox News Sunday’ panel discusses whether Rep. Liz Cheney will lose the House GOP leadership position. OJ Simpson sounded off Tuesday on the Republican Party leadership battle in the U.S. House of Representatives, supporting House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney of Wyoming, who is facing stiff opposition over her decision to vote in favor of President Trump s second impeachment, and claiming Trump s rhetoric can provoke violence again after right-wing activists broke into the U.S. Capitol on January 6. Cheney, the 3rd-ranking House Republican, also earned the ire of her colleagues by continually rebuffing claims Trump s loss to Joe Biden was affected by election irregularities. Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York is widely seen as Cheney s successor, should she lose her Wednesday confidence vote.

Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Tuesday made an argument for former President Trump remaining a main figure in the Republican Party, contending that without him, half the people will leave. Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked Graham about previous comments in which he suggested that people fear that if they do not have Trump s support, they will not get elected, according to a video provided by Mediaite. Graham responded by saying Trump is the most popular Republican in the country.

Capitol Police Inspector General Michael Bolton is set to testify before the House Administration Committee on Monday afternoon about the police force’s threat assessment and counter-surveillance operations before and after the Jan. 6 attack. Bolton is expected to tell lawmakers that his team found “deficiencies” with outdated or vague guidance, as well as “insufficient resources” and staffing for keeping up with counter-surveillance operations and threat assessments.

daddy s warmonger

The NYT hates Trump so much, it s in love with Liz Cheney, the warmonger s wamonger.          The vilification of Liz Cheney and a bizarre vote recount in Arizona showed the damage from his assault on a bedrock of democracy: election integrity.   Locked out of Facebook, marooned in Mar-a-Lago and mocked for an amateurish new website, Donald J. Trump remained largely out of public sight this week. Yet the Republican Party’s capitulation to the former president became clearer than ever, as did the damage to American politics he has caused with his lie that the election was stolen from him. In Washington, Republicans moved to strip Representative Liz Cheney of her House leadership position, a punishment for denouncing Mr. Trump’s false claims of voter fraud as a threat to democracy. Lawmakers in Florida and Texas advanced sweeping new measures that would curtail voting, echoing the fictional narrative from Mr. Trump and his allies that the electoral system was

Republicans take steps to hide discouraging polls about Trump The National Republican Congressional Committee apparently doesn t want its own members to know about Trump s unpopularity in key districts. Independent surveys pointed in very different directions, but the Republican dismissed those polls by insisting they were part of an elaborate conspiracy against him. During his semi-retirement, very little has changed. Trump recently appeared on Dan Bongino s show, and when asked about the possibility of a third presidential campaign in 2024, the Republican said, I am giving it the most serious consideration as you can imagine and based on every poll that I m seeing a
