The doctors had at the resumption of the meeting with Gbajabiamila which began last week, said they would suspend the planned resumption of the strike as soon as they got paid for their salary arrears ranging from one to five months.

The cases bring the total number of recorded infections in the country so far to 163,736.
The health agency made the announcement on Saturday night in a post on its verified Facebook page.
According to the new report, about 27 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.
So far, the country has recorded 154,098 recoveries while about 2,060 patients have died due to complications from the dreaded virus.

Abuja, April 9, 2021 The House of Representative on Friday in Abuja begged the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) to consider the plight of Nigerians and end its nine old days strike.
Rep. Tanko Sununu, the Chairman, House Committee on Healthcare Services, made the appeal at a meeting between NARD and the committee that lasted for five hours.
He pleaded with NARD to consider the plight of ordinary citizens, adding that action will be taken against all the accusations raised.
