Last summer’s bombshell about Russian payments for the killing of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan turns out to have been a dud. That should stand as a warning against too readily believing stories about nefarious Russian actions. It also should serve as a caution about overreaction that is especially important amid high tensions with both Russia and China.

US President Donald Trump on Monday re-designated North Korea a state sponsor of terrorism, nine years after it was removed from the list. This move allows the Trump administration to impose additional sanctions on Pyongyang over its nuclear and missile programmes.
North Korea had been removed from the list of state sponsor of terrorism under the George W Bush administration.The announcement was made by Trump during his Cabinet meeting.
Fox & Friends recently that the agency had pushed “woke propaganda”: “What happens when you hire a bunch of folks who are wokesters going out into the world that is not woke?. As an analyst, are they going to bring nuance to their analysis or are they going to bring any degree of unbiasedness to their job? Of course not. They’re activists now.” Former secretary of state and director of the CIA Mike Pompeo said the U.S. couldn’t afford to risk national security to “appease some liberal, woke agenda.” And speaking of unbiasedness and of risking U.S. national security to appease a liberal agenda by the CIA:
