Did a communist spy know the congressman was about to assume oversight of the CIA?

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Calif.) hasn’t been willing to say much about his relationship with an alleged spy for the Chinese Communist Party, citing a need to protect classified information. But both the congressman and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) owe the public an explanation for a remarkable series of events when Mr. Swalwell joined the House Intelligence Committee.
Corporate media is deliberately refusing to cover California Democrat Eric Swalwell’s relationship with a Chinese spy despite his position on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Federalist Senior Editor Mollie Hemingway said on Fox News on Tuesday.
“I think one of the reasons why the media haven’t covered this like they should have is that the media themselves are one of the institutions that seem to be compromised by China,” Hemingway said.
“They either support China or they’re afraid of being in kind of crosshairs. And this makes it even more difficult for the American people to really learn what’s at risk here,” she added.
Sen. Cotton Calls on Swalwell to Explain Ties to Suspected Chinese Spy
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) on Dec. 16 called on Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) to hold a press conference to explain his relationship with a suspected Chinese Communist Party (CCP) spy.
A report by Axios on Dec. 7 claimed that the alleged CCP spy, known as Fang Fang or Christine Fang, built up an extensive network of contacts with up-and-coming politicians in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Swalwell. The report said Swalwell cut ties with her after investigators gave him a “defensive briefing,” and that he provided information about her to the FBI.

Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) continue to haunt his Senate campaign, and one ally of his bid is also reportedly cozy with the Chinese government. Ossoff has received support from Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who is currently under fire for reportedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a suspected Chinese intelligence spy, Christine Fang. The Senate hopeful himself profited off of a media company that is partially owned by the CCP, as federal financial records show.
While Swalwell navigates a scandal alleging ties to a communist government, Republicans are calling for his removal from the House Intelligence Committee.
