Nine years ago, Pete Aguilar was shut out of the general election for an Inland House seat.
It’s the latest feather in the cap of Aguilar, the vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus and the highest-ranking Latino in the majority party’s leadership. Aguilar also serves on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, which oversees federal funding, and is past whip of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
