Sunday voiced growing frustration with what they perceive as
dangerous foot-dragging by the Democratic leadership after
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi laid out a plan of
action for the coming week that will likely push off an
impeachment vote until Wednesday, a full week after a
violent mob incited by President Donald Trump attacked the
U.S. Capitol.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told his fellow Democrats the chamber would take up impeachment on Wednesday if Vice President Mike Pence does not invoke the US Constitution's 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
Two Capitol Police officers suspended and more under investigation for alleged roles in riot

Two Capitol Police officers have been suspended for their alleged roles in the riot on Jan. 6, said Rep. Tim Ryan, who is chair of the House Appropriations subcommittee handling the investigation into the police response to the Capitol attack last week.
“I know that there were two people that were suspended,” Ryan said during a press call. “One was the selfie officer and another was an officer that put a MAGA hat on that started directing some people around,” the lawmaker said.
The president and vice president agreed in a meeting Monday to work together for the remainder of their term, according to a senior administration official.
