Arizona s Democratic Electors Vote; Senate Panel Seeks Oversight On Dominion Software

Capitol Media Services PHOENIX Arizona s 11 Democrat electors cast their votes Monday for Joe Biden even as the chairman of a Senate panel said he will issue subpoenas to check the accuracy of hardware and software that gave the Democrat the edge over President Trump. Sen. Eddie Farnsworth, R-Gilbert, said there are enough questions raised about whether the Dominion Voting Systems used in Maricopa County produced reliable results. The announcement followed more than six hours of testimony at the Senate Judiciary Committee which led to a series of questions about whether the results can be trusted. And as Farnsworth said, that doesn t even address other allegations that ballots were not properly handled and that observers from political parties did not have sufficient access to oversee what was going on.

Trump supporters target Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers over election results

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - A former U.S. Attorney for Arizona issued a grim warning for the state Wednesday after President Donald Trump supporters publicly posted the home address of House Speaker Rusty Bowers to pressure him to decertify the election results that handed Joe Biden the victory here. We live in a country with a population of roughly 330 million people and we can sometimes forget that somewhere out there is this generation s Timothy McVeigh and if you encourage violence under the guise of patriotism, you ll find that guy, said Paul Charlton, who served as the U.S. Attorney for Arizona from 2001-2006 under President George W. Bush.

How will the Arizona Legislature convene without becoming a daily COVID superspreader event? Andrew Oxford, Arizona Republic © The Republic Arizona Capitol The state Capitol’s windowless chambers and cramped committee rooms were not designed for the era of social distancing. But another session of the Arizona Legislature is fast approaching and it is unclear how, exactly, lawmakers will convene without turning their annual gathering into a daily COVID-19 superspreader event. Republican legislators have flouted mask requirements, and it is unknown to what extent the Senate and House of Representatives will conduct business via videoconferencing, which could allow legislators to work from home and the public to offer input on bills without crowding into committee meetings.
