Hogan joins Joseph Lieberman, a one-time vice presidential nominee and former Connecticut senator, who served as a Democrat before switching to an independent in his final years on Capitol Hill. Together they will help lead the organization that promotes centrist political ideas as a new Congress is set to convene early next year. I am honored to help lead No Labels at a time when our message of putting aside partisan differences for the common good is needed more than ever, Hogan said in a statement Tuesday.

Larry Hogan of Maryland, a Republican, as its new national co-chairman on Tuesday as it pushed lawmakers to embrace centrist policies in a new Congress. Mr. Hogan, who is trying to play a larger role in national politics as his second term as governor of a solidly Democratic state draws to an end in 2022, joins former Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, Democrat of Connecticut, in leading the organization, which supports the 50-member House Problem Solvers Caucus and a smaller group of eight centrist senators.
