Rep. Jeff Pyle announced on Tuesday that he will be vacating his 60th District House seat at the close of business on Tuesday.
The 56-year-old conservative Republican lawmaker, known for his Armstrong County drawl and dry humor, has been a fixture in the House of Representatives for the past 16 years. His retirement is prompted by a variety of health issues including a stroke he suffered in 2020 and treatment for cancer first diagnosed in 2005 and returned in 2017.
