Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton s office fast-tracked a one-off $880,000 grant proposal to a retail association eight days after it made a $1,500 political donation to the Queensland Liberal National Party at an event Mr Dutton attended for the purpose of personally supporting him.

JOHANNESBURG - The state capture inquiry has contacted the estranged wife of Malusi Gigaba, Norma Mngoma following her exclusive interview with eNCA where she alleged that the former Home Affairs Minister received bags of money from the Guptas.
Meanwhile, the Public Protector s Office has made findings against Gigaba over the Guptas being granted early naturalisation certificates.
While adverse findings have been made by the Public Protector, the office says, any remedial action taken against Gigaba would serve no judicial purpose, in light of his resignation as Home Affairs Minister.

A Canadian civil rights group has called on Australia to follow their country’s example and designate far-right extremist groups as terrorist entities.
Canada last week became the first country to proscribe the Proud Boys on its terror list. It also proscribed neo-Nazi groups the Atomwaffen Division and The Base, along with several affiliates of IS and al-Qaeda.
Bernie Farber, the chair of the Canadian Anti Hate Network, said Canada had provided “a real service” to other countries in designating the Proud Boys and other far-right groups, and Australia should “absolutely” follow suit.
