(CNSNews.com) - China produces more emissions than all the rest of the OECD (developed) countries put together, President Biden s Senior Climate Adviser John Kerry told the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday. They are currently funding coal, external coal-fired power. And we ve been working on, this is one of the things we really engaged on. And we ve had some very heated discussions about this. Because obviously, it s not sustainable.
“There s no way the United States and the rest of the world can get to our goal if China doesn t join in and become part of it s not just China. There are other countries. We need to see greater reductions in India, Kerry said.

John Kerry, the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, contradicted the Biden administration Wednesday by admitting pipelines are a more efficient way of transporting fuel than train or truck after the administration has revoked pipeline permits, including Keystone XL.
During an appearance in front of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday, Kerry said pipelines are better than the alternates. This is after President Joe Biden canceled the permits for the Keystone XL pipeline earlier this year.
Republican Rep. Darrell Issa (CA) posed the question, Kerry, “Isn’t it true the pipelines are more carbon-delivery efficient than trains or trucks or other forms of delivery if you could answer just that limited question.”

The extent of the Biden administration s success convincing Northern Triangle countries to curb migrant flows across their own borders is in question, with White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Friday acknowledging pacts with each nation announced recently are not formal agreements.
Psaki this week touted arrangements under which she said Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras would crack down on people leaving those countries or transiting through toward the U.S. southern border. But two days later, the administration s Northern Triangle envoy testified before Congress that no such frameworks were in place. Whether or not it was a formal agreement, which it was not, and I never conveyed that it was, these were steps that these countries indicated they plan to take to increase personnel and security to reduce the number of migrants coming across the border, Psaki told reporters Friday during her briefing.
