New York Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (R-22nd District) expressed her support for Israel in its current conflict with Palestine at a virtual town hall meeting Tuesday night.
Tenney, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, says that Palestinian militant group Hamas is at fault for the conflict. Israel s actiions in recent weeks have drawn scrutiny from some in the international community who say that Israeli airstrikes against Palestine have gone too far in killing innocent civilians and children. Tenney, however, says that Israel s right to exist hangs in the balance, and that it s America s duty to protect it.

The high-profile and sensitive post is even more important given the current heightened hostilities between Israel and the Palestinians.

(CNSNews.com) – President Biden publicly expressed his admiration for Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) on Tuesday, calling her a “fighter” and saying he would do all he could to ensure the Palestinian American lawmaker’s relatives in the West Bank were “well.”
The remarks, during a visit to a Ford factory in Dearborn, Mich., follows days of criticism by Tlaib and other progressive House Democrats of the administration’s approach to the conflict in Israel and Gaza – including the blocking of a U.N. Security Council joint statement calling for an immediate ceasefire.
