WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) A grant from the John and Margaret Cross Memorial Fund will allow the Catholic Charities Drop-In Day Center to extend its hours, according to the Winona Community Foundation.
The co-fund advisors, Kevin Cross and Carolyn Cross deMatta, directed a $21,000 grant to the day center, which gives those who struggle with homelessness a warm, safe place to stay during the day. The shelter’s hours are now 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., seven days a week through March 31.
