His Highness the Amir, during his reception of the National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim and a number of MPS, affirmed necessity of constructive cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities, boosting parliamentary action for serving the homeland and the nationals and backing up development.
In his instructions to the parliament members, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf also underscored necessity of adhering to the National Constitution and enforcing the laws. Al-Ghanim headed a delegation at the meeting with the Amir that included members of the assembly bureau for the 16th legislative term.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: The demand for housing in 2020 decreased by 31.6 percent compared to 2019 and this is believed to be due to the corona pandemic, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily obtained a copy of the recent statistics from the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), indicating the number of housing grant applications submitted this year reached 4,225 lower by 1,946 compared to last year.
According to the statistics, the number of housing grant applications totaled 91,542 as of Dec 21, 2020; and that a remarkable increase in the number of applications was recorded between 2019 and 2020 an increase of 10,396.
It has been reported that additional housing projects must be implemented in order to shorten the list of citizens waiting for the approval of their housing grant applications; taking into consideration that the State disburses about KD14 million for rent allowance per month or KD165 million every year.

They said, “The Public Authority for Housing Welfare addressed Kuwait Municipality recently regarding the completion of road works and infrastructure services in the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak project, and the first phase of Al- Mutlaa Residential City, and the initial handover of the works from contractors. The number of power stations to be implemented is 26 of which 22 stations are in Al-Mutlaa and four in South Abdullah Al-Mubarak.
