Indian equities continued to gain for the third day on Tuesday. Both Sensex and Nifty traded at a new life time high.
At the close, the 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex ended flat with a rise of 9.71 points or 0.02% at 46,263.17, 12 components registering rise. while the broad based NSE Nifty closed flat with a gain of 9.70 points or 0.07%, at 13,567.85.20 components posting rise.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Bajaj Finance (4.69%), Bajaj Finserv (4.15%), Housing Development Finance Corporation (2.19%), Tech Mahindra (2.08%), HDFC Bank (1.50%), and Tata Steel (1.36%). On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever (2.12%), Nestle (2.12%), ICICI Bank (1.51%), Axis Bank (1.46%), State Bank Of India (1.33%), Tata Consultancy Services (1.26%), and ITC (1.16%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
