The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System Women Veterans Program hosted a drive-thru baby shower event at the Biloxi V.A. Medical Center to help new moms out.
The drive-thru baby shower was for expecting pregnant veterans or those that have delivered within the past 12 months and have had a maternity consult placed by a V.A. provider and used community care for their OB Care.
The new moms each received a goodie bag filled with information, wipes, Pampers, and more.
Maternity Care Coordinator Leatha Brown tells News 25 this is a way for the mothers to know that the VA is always taking care of them. “What the Veterans Health Care System does all over is they have all been having drive thru baby showers for the moms just to give them gifts. We are also going to have a raffle where we raffle off a stroller and other gifts that have been donated.
