Officer charged - Central Metropolitan Region 30 April

A police officer has been charged after allegedly accessing restricted data last year. In September 2020, police commenced an investigation into the alleged actions of a constable attached to a command within the Central Metropolitan Region. It’s alleged the officer accessed restricted data without authorisation. Following inquiries, the 24-year-old man was issued a court attendance notice today (Friday 30 April 2021) for two counts of access to restricted data held in computer system. He is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on 11 June 2021. The officer’s employment status is being reviewed. /Public Release. Cop Karen Yerbury s panicked after probe over alleged fake car theft, Sydney court hears

23:33 EDT, 20 April 2021 A senior police sergeant was heard panicking after being probed by police over allegations the theft of her car was faked for an insurance pay out, a court has heard. Karen Yerbury allegedly obtained a $30,571 insurance settlement after faking the theft of her Mazda CX-5 along with her alleged accomplices - her daughter s athletics coach Gavin Dunn and his associate Glenn Stone in February 2018. Her daughter Regan Yerbury, a former NRL cheerleader, and the two men allegedly tried to fake the theft of the same vehicle in May 2017 only for officers to then find and return the car, police will allege.
