Driver arrested for bomb threat at Naval Weapons Station Earle

The Naval Weapons Station Earle announced late Thursday night that they lifted their shelter in place and were able to report that the car had no explosive device in or around it, as checked by the Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 12, Detachment Earle.

Multiple law enforcement agencies and investigators are on scene at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck on Thursday night after a woman drove to the main gate stating that she had a bomb in her car.
She has since been arrested but the investigation is ongoing.
The woman, who was not identified, was barred from Naval Weapons Station Earle after previous attempts to enter the installation, a base spokesman said.
