Ventura police arrest man accused of selling methamphetamine, concealing dagger Jeremy Childs, Ventura County Star If you see a crime being committed, do this Replay Video UP NEXT The Ventura Police Department arrested a man Tuesday night suspected of carrying a dagger and selling crystal methamphetamine, authorities said. The arrest occurred at 10:56 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Victoria Avenue. An officer was in the area and saw a vehicle with multiple code violations. The officer decided to pull the vehicle over and made contact with the driver, identified as Leobardo Clune, 54, or Ventura. Through an investigation, the officer found Clune was in possession of a concealed and sheathed dagger, according to authorities. Clune was also found to have an unspecified amount of crystal methamphetamine individually packaged for sale, as well as drug paraphernalia and a scale.

Ventura County Sheriff s Office Kristian Fonseca, 22, of Fillmore SANTA PAULA, Calif. - The Ventura County District Attorney s Office reported that a Fillmore man has been charged with murder after he shot three Santa Paula men, killing two and wounding the third. 22-year-old Kristian Fonseca reportedly shot at the men on Oct. 24, 2020. Santa Paula police responded to the 200 block of Ventura Street around 10:13 p.m. where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One man, identified as Jose Estrada, was pronounced dead at the scene while the second, Daniel Zuniga, was transported to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition.

Michael Fournier of Rancho Cucamonga, California, died Aug. 19 as he was battling a blaze raging out of control in rugged, smoke-shrouded terrain near the small central California town of Coalinga, California. He had completed several water drops and was about to make another when his aircraft suddenly crashed and burst into flames. His wife and two daughters filed suit against the UH-1H helicopter’s manufacturer and the company that serviced it. Both were accused of negligence and wrongful death in the suit that seeks unspecified damages.

At the time of his pleas, Burgmeier paid $45,000 in partial restitution owed to the victims in this case, the StateCompensation Insurance Fund (State Fund) and the State of California Unemployment and Disability Insurance Tax Program (EDD). From March 2008 through March 2016, Burgmeier owned and operated Burgmeier Construction in Simi Valley. During that time, Burgmeier misrepresented the number of his employees and the total amount of payroll to the victims in this case. Burgmeier s fraud resulted in the underpayment of insurance premiums totaling $176,265 to State Fund,and an underpayment of taxes totaling $39,608 to EDD.
