Ventura County Public Health officials reported 405 new cases of COVID-19 on Dec. 30, along with five additional COVID-19-related deaths. They urged county residents to follow the governor s Stay Home order and not gather with anyone outside their immediate household.
The officials reported Dec. 28 that 11 Ventura County residents had been confirmed to have died with COVID-19 since Dec. 24.
On Dec. 29, they reported 11 more people had died wih COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths of Ventura County residents with COVID-19 in December to 56.
The five deaths reported Dec. 30 include one 59-year-old woman and four men, ages, 79, 86, 76, and 107.

Because ICU capacity is not improving in the Southern California region, which includes Ventura County, the regional Stay Home Order has been extended for another three weeks.

Ventura County Public Health officials reported the latest grim COVID-19 numbers for the county on Dec. 29: There are 993 new cases of COVID-19. There are 11 additional deaths of five women, ages 96, 86, 83, 87 and 68; and six men, ages 81, 70, 84, 64, 100 and 57. All those who died had co-morbidities, health officials said.

“Don’t share your air!” is the message from three California health systems leaders, imploring all Californians to take stringent precautions against spreading COVID-19 during the holiday season.
“We need to keep the people that you want to spend time with … healthy and alive,” said Ventura County Public Health Officer Dr. Levin.
In counties under the regional Stay Home Order such as Ventura County and more than 90 percent of the state any type of gathering beyond one’s immediate household is prohibited. Ventura County residents are advised not to travel or gather with other households since the county is under a regional Stay Home Order.
