Ventura County Sheriff’s reports inmate death
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. The Ventura County Sheriff s Office reported an inmate death in the County Jail Monday afternoon.
The inmate was identified as Steven Johnson, 37, from Ojai.
On Dec. 15 around 11:15 a.m., deputies at the Ventura County Jail reportedly found Johnson alone and unresponsive in his cell.
Deputies provided aid and called for the medical staff. Ventura City Fire and AMR also responded to the jail and transported Johnson to Ventura Community Memorial Hospital.
A few days later, Johnson was transferred to Ventura County Medical Center for additional care.
On Sunday at around 9:13 p.m, Johnson was pronounced dead by the hospital.

California Highway Patrol Officer Todd Barrett and Ventura County Sheriff s Sgt. Ron Helus acted justifiably and did not commit criminal acts when they discharged their weapons to stop the attack at the Borderline Bar & Grill, the District Attorney s Office has found in a report released Thursday.
The results of the investigation of the officer-involved shootings showed Barrett was aiming at gunman Ian David Long when he inadvertently struck Helus and killed him, but that the fatal shooting at the Thousand Oaks bar on Nov. 7, 2018, was a justifiable homicide.

Lovato shared a video of the view from her hike captioned it Miss You [Naya Rivera]. The music playing the clip was The Beatles Here Comes The Sun, which is a reference to the scene from Glee they were in together.

Rivera s body was found in Lake Piru near Los Angeles on July 13 after a five days manhunt. She never returned after renting a pontoon boat with her 5-year-old son, Josey, who was found unharmed in the boat.
