Weyburn student part of team making Saskatchewan s first satellite

A graduate from the Weyburn Comprehensive School in 2020, Arliss is a first-year engineering student at the University of Saskatchewan, and she was so excited when she heard about this project, she signed up for it in July before she even started school. The U of S Space Design team is working with Saskatchewan Polytechnic to design, build and assemble the cube satellite, which will measure 10 by 10 by 20 centimetres. Arliss explained there are currently around 1,367 cube satellites in orbit right now, mainly used for research purposes, educational and commercial uses. This satellite, which will be known as RADSAT-SK, will have an experiment on board along with a small camera, and it will be in orbit for a year before it comes back down to burn up in the atmosphere.

Be smart with the gathering sizes

And if you have a family of four, you could have one other person in your home.  But a family of five wasn’t supposed to have an extra person in their home. We’re not sure how vigilant this was followed, and if someone would actually rat their neighbour out if a family of five brought two more people into their home.   But if there were 20 people gathered in a home, it was a big Public Health fine waiting to happen, even on Christmas. So we’re now up to 10 people for a private gathering. Sure the government talks about a limited number of bubbles, but how would you enforce that?

Southeast Cornerstone loses appeal of Oberg decision

In the decision issued by the Court of Appeal, released on Monday, the justices dismissed the board’s appeal and ordered the board to pay Oberg’s costs of the appeal. In a statement to the Review, Oberg said, “The Court of Appeal agreed with the Queen’s Bench Court that the process followed in my case was unfair and the decision to demote me was unreasonable. These events have had a major impact on me and my family, both professionally and personally. I am grateful the mistakes that were made have been corrected.” His lawyer, Amanda Quayle of the McDougall Gauley law firm, added her comments on the decision.
