Rural Cashton man killed in logging accident

ONTARIO, Wis. (WKBT) A rural Cashton man was killed Wednesday in a logging accident in the town of Whitestown near Ontario.
Raymond Miller, 37, was felling a 60-foot red oak tree when it became caught in another tree, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office. The bottom of the tree kicked out towards Miller, then fell on top of him, pinning him to the ground.
A witness on scene rushed to his aid and cut the tree free from Miller. The witness attempted life saving measures before running to get help.
