FBI Warns Armed Protests Are Coming to Every State Capital

By Rudy TakalaJan 11th, 2021, 12:52 pm Spencer Platt/Getty Images Armed protests are being planned for all 50 state capitals, in addition to the United States Capitol, in the week leading up to Inauguration Day, the FBI warned on Monday. “Armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols from 16 January through at least 20 January, and at the U.S. Capitol from 17 January through 20 January,” the bureau said in a bulletin obtained by ABC News. The bureau was acknowledging events organized by President Donald Trump’s supporters for which invitations had already circulated widely online. Law enforcement officials in a number of states said they were preparing for the onslaught.
