Armed protests are being planned for all 50 state capitals, in addition to the United States Capitol, in the week leading up to Inauguration Day, the FBI warned on Monday.
“Armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols from 16 January through at least 20 January, and at the U.S. Capitol from 17 January through 20 January,” the bureau said in a bulletin obtained by ABC News.
The bureau was acknowledging events organized by President
Donald Trump’s supporters for which invitations had already circulated widely online. Law enforcement officials in a number of states said they were preparing for the onslaught.

WATERBURY, Vt. (AP) A Blue Alert drill planned for earlier this month has been rescheduled to next week, Vermont Department of Public Safety said Tuesday.

As part of the exercise on Dec. 30, messages will be sent to thousands of subscribers and information about the drill will be on the Vermont Agency of Transportation boards. Television and radio stations will get texts.
