Step into Peggy Thorns comfortable home in Mount Holly and you think, This is a woman who s really got it together.
Her face is alive and expressive. Her smile is dazzling. Her speech is crisp and her responses to questions are carefully measured and yet touched with eloquence.
At age 73, she could easily pass for a decade or more younger.
It s hard to correlate the woman she is now with the woman she says she once was - a woman virtually paralyzed at times by overwhelming feelings of fear and of insecurity, of self-doubt and of inadequacy.
Since 1996, Thorns has shared her message of the love of Christ with various domestic and foreign outreaches through Peggy Thorns Ministries.

For 32 years, Pat Howard wrote opinion columns for the Erie Times-News that left readers smiling, burning in anger or nodding their heads in agreement.
Mostly, Howard just wanted to give readers something to think about.
And mostly, Howard wanted to see his beloved Erie, the only place he ever called home, succeed and live up to its potential.
Howard, who retired from the Erie Times-News on Dec. 1, died on Monday, leaving behind an archive of commentary on Erie and a voice that, though it has gone silent, will be remembered for years to come for its insight, intelligence and grace.
